Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to what families ask us most often.

Where can I find additional resources?

Please visit our Resources page and Blog for helpful information, parent support, and educational content.

We update these pages regularly. If there is a topic or resource you would like to see added, please let us know. We are always looking for ways to better support families.

What ages do you serve?

We serve a variety of ages, generally ranging from 18 months through the teenage years. Age availability may vary by location, program, and clinical fit.

Please reach out to our team if you are unsure whether your child falls within the age range for services in your area.

Does my child need a diagnosis to receive ABA therapy?

Most private insurance plans require an autism diagnosis for ABA therapy coverage, while some Medicaid plans allow for ADHD or other qualifying diagnosis. While private pay does not always require a diagnosis, we do not currently accept private pay at this time. This may change in the future, so families are welcome to check back on our website or reach out for updates.

Do I need a referral for ABA therapy?

Yes. Insurance companies require an active referral (within 1 year) for ABA therapy before they will approve coverage.

If you are unsure whether your current referral is complete or up to date, our team can help guide you through what is needed.

What diagnoses do you accept?

Because we currently work through insurance and do not accept private pay at this time, we follow each insurance company’s coverage requirements.

Most private insurance plans we are in network with require an autism diagnosis for ABA therapy coverage. In some cases, Florida Medicaid may approve services for ADHD or another qualifying diagnosis.

If you believe your child may qualify for coverage without an autism diagnosis due to special circumstances, a case manager’s recommendation, or another coverage pathway, please reach out. We are happy to review your situation and help however we can.

What insurance plans do you accept?

Please visit our Partnerships page for the most up-to-date list of insurance plans we currently accept.

We are also open to credentialing with additional insurance companies. If you do not see your insurance listed, please reach out to our team and ask about submitting a credentialing request.

What is the intake process?

Families can begin by calling, emailing, or sending a referral to our team. From there, we will schedule an initial consultation call to learn more about your child, your family’s needs, and the services you are seeking.

Before services can begin, we will need an updated CDE or diagnostic evaluation, an active referral for ABA therapy, and a completed intake packet. Once we have the necessary paperwork, we will either begin the next steps toward services or place your child on the waitlist until availability opens.

What is the average wait time for services?

Our average wait time is typically 3–6 months, depending on location, availability, staffing, and scheduling needs.

We are also building a parent training program for waitlisted families so parents can begin learning helpful tools and strategies at home while waiting for in-person availability.
